Story by Michael Glaser. Michael’s story was one of ecological grief. Learning how to grieve a landscape that was taken, not changed by the elements. Growing up going to a cabin in the Ghost Valley, Michael spent so much time in the old forests there. It became a defining part of who he is. In 2015, Michael was devastated to find out that this land was going to be clear cut. After banding together with the community that lived there to try and save the land, ultimately, it was cut. In the fight to save it, Michael found community, story, and a fire for what matters.

To Michael: may you never forget the fire inside for doing the right thing and pursuing what matters most to you.
